Useful resources to prepare for the DELTA Module One Exam

Preparing for the DELTA Module One exam is not an easy task and the resources to use are rather scarce, so here are some websites that you might find useful while preparing for this exam:

The website Сambridgeenglish.org is the best place to start looking for the information about the DELTA Module one as this is the most reliable source to tell you about the format of the exam. Here you can also find the latest Past Papers.

You can also find lots of DELTA Module One terminology flashcards on quizlet.com. Here you can even pick the sets based on the topic you need to work on more.

If you’re planning to prepare for this course all on your own, you can also find some useful exam preparation tips in Lizzie Pinard’s series of posts in her blog Reflections of an English Language Teacher.

You also need to be more confident with writing transcriptions and this Tophonetics.com tool can help you to become a little more comfortable with it. However, you need to remember that this is only the beginning as it will help you be more aware of how words are transcribed and the weak forms in sentences. This will not help you much with features of connected speech such as elision, liaison, etc.

www.eltconcourse.com will provide you with some additional DELTA Module One exam practice task, however, there won’t be much feedback on how successfully you complete them.

If you still want to get detailed feedback from an experienced DELTA Module One tutor and an opportunity to ask as many questions as you’d like, you can take the DELTA Module One Preparation course with ILC starting on March 23rd. Register here >>>
