ILC | International Language Centre: Our History
Our School was founded in November 24, 1992, as “Independent Language School” with the participation of The George Soros International Renaissance Foundation.
We are a pioneer language learning centre in Ukraine where all the native speakers have internationally recognized teaching qualifications and we are proud to have been standing by this principle for over 20 years.
From 1994 to 2015 our school was affiliated with International House World Organization and shared the brand name of International House Kyiv.
Since the mid-1990s our school has been the leader in the field of teacher training using the communicative approach. We are proud to be an Authorised Cambridge Teacher Training Centre (both CELTA and DELTA) and Cambridge Assessment English.
Since 1994, our school has been running a Book Centre, and we were one of the first organizations in Ukraine to promote books by British publishing houses and to become an official Oxford University Press distributer in Ukraine. Today our Book Centre is a distributer of several leading British publishers.
In 2016, in order to highlight our individuality, wide experience and modern, elite standards of teaching, we rebranded out school and became ILC (International Language Centre).
In June of 2017 ILC was certified according to ISO 9001:2015.
We continue using advanced methods and technologies to educate and teach languages to both adults and children and to qualify and train teachers the best possible way.
